THE TRUSTEE MINISTRY

THE LAY ORGANIZATION

Sis. Fredia Booker, Ministry Leader

The Lay Organization encourages the laity to support and participate in church programs. Additionally, they stimulate and educate the laity in church history, development and organic laws of African Methodism. Regular and systematic study of the Discipline of the African Methodist Episcopal Church is conducted by the Lay Organization to promote the spirit of personal evangelism and training in Christian stewardship.

THE YOUNG AT HEART MINISTRY

The Young at Heart Ministry, ages 55 and older, is an organized group of mature Christians who come together to learn the Word, fellowship and share information relevant to their specific age group. Additional activities include field trips and special interest seminars.

THE FUNERAL MINISTRY

Sis. Willie Mae Spears, Ministry Leader

This ministry provides an invaluable service to members of the congregation who are experiencing the loss of a loved one. During their period of bereavement, the members of this ministry provide in-home meals, crisis support, and host/serve the family meal following interment.

THE CULINARY MINISTRY

Sis. Katrina Johnson, Ministry Leader

This ministry is available to assist and serve family meals for funerals, meetings and organizational functions. Groups and individuals interested in using the kitchen facilities must submit a “request for space form” no later than one month prior to the event/activity and receive the Pastor's approval.

THE TRANSPORTATION MINISTRY

Sis. Christine Ellis, Sis. Lillie McBride and Bro. Felton Carmouche, Ministry Leaders

The Transportation Ministry serves the Lord Sundays by transporting persons to Sunday School and Worship Services. The purpose is to provide courteous, safe and reliable transportation for those desiring attendance at Sunday morning worship services, and to coordinate transportation for the various internal organizations of the Greater St. Peter Family.

THE BEAUTIFICATION MINISTRY

Bro. Cornell Robinson, Ministry Leader

The Beautification Ministry's purpose is to embellish the House of God, interior and exterior, with seasonal décor. That is artistically displayed and spiritually appropriate to the Spirit of God. This ministry also facilitates use of talent in a way that will bring glory to God and the betterment of others.
